The Criminal Division of the Scott County Attorney's Office prosecutes adults charged with felony, gross misdemeanor, and misdemeanor crimes that occur in Scott County. These crimes range from murder, robbery and rape, to theft, burglaries, and fraud. This division is also in charge of all Grand Jury investigations.
The Scott County Attorney’s Office is also responsible for prosecuting ordinance violations that occur within the County. Examples of ordinance violations include outside storage of unlicensed, inoperable vehicles and solid waste on property, burning without a permit and operating a business on residential property without obtaining a conditional use permit.
