Alcohol Awareness/Compliance Server Training
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is collaborating with local retailers and organizations that sell alcoholic beverages to ensure the safety of our citizens and communities by offering free Alcohol Awareness/Compliance Server Training.

Annual Youth Fishing Derby
The Annual Youth Fishing Derby is a community engagement event hosted by the Sheriff's Office. Every summer, local young people join local peace officers and other public safety personnel for a day of fun and fishing on the Minnesota River.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Crime Stoppers of Minnesota to invite citizens to pass on information about crimes and remain anonymous.

Explorer Program
The Explorer Program is a volunteer youth program designed for motivated and service-orientated students ages 14-18 who have an interest in the law enforcement field. Explorers attend regularly scheduled meetings where they receive training in all avenues of law enforcement.

Minnesota Sheriff's Association Scholarship
The members of the Minnesota Sheriffs’ Association give special recognition every year to the financial needs of students attending the peace officers skills course or one of the two or four year law enforcement degree colleges.

Project Lifesaver / SafetyNet
Project Lifesaver / SafetyNet is a system to rapidly locate vulnerable people that have a tendency to wander off and get lost.

Take It to the Box
The “Take It to the Box” program promotes the safe use, safe storage, and safe disposal of unneeded medication, prescription medication, illegal drugs, and drug paraphernalia.

Youth ATV Training
Minnesota requires ATV operators born after July 1, 1987 and OHM riders under the age of 16 are required to complete an approved safety course before riding on public lands. Every year, the Scott County Sheriff's Office hosts a one day "field training" to fulfill the second part of the online training for ATV certification.

Youth Snowmobile Training
The Scott County Sheriff's Office will again be sponsoring Youth Snowmobile Training in December of each year for kids aged 11 to 15 years old.
