Crime Stoppers

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Crime Stoppers of Minnesota to invite citizens to pass on information about crimes and remain anonymous. Through this partnership, citizens can come forward with information by calling a toll-free phone number, using the internet, text messaging from a cell phone or using a smart phone app, all managed and maintained by Crime Stoppers of Minnesota, a non-profit organization.

Give a Tip

People with knowledge about a crime or a fugitive can provide information to Crime Stoppers by:

  • Click on logo to right
  • Calling (800-222-TIPS [8477])
  • Going online to the Crime Stoppers of Minnesota website
  • Texting on a cell phone TIP674, plus the message then sending it to CRIMES [274637]
  • Adding the free phone app, “Submit a Tip” to a smartphone.

If the tip leads to an arrest the tipster may qualify to receive a reward of up to $1,000 and still remain anonymous.
