COVID-Related Service Updates

Updated 6/2/2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges for all Minnesota law enforcement agencies.  The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is doing everything we can to continue to provide as many of the services as we can safely provide,  and to make adjustments as necessary to meet your needs when that is not possible.

We recommend frequently checking this page for updates.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER IS CLOSED TO PUBLIC.

  • Please note that our 2nd and 3rd floor customer service windows in the Law Enforcement Center are now closed (with limited exceptions).  We are working to move many of our services online and offer an alternative in-person solution as soon as possible.  Please call us at 952-496-8300 with questions about any of our services.
  • Several services can now be found on our website, including submitting Permit to Purchase Applications and Data Requests
  • NEW Permit to Carry Applications will now be accepted by appointment only.  Appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Schedule appointments through our webpage:  https://www.scottcountymn.gov/380/Firearm-Permits or by calling 952-496-8300.

Effective immediately, any call for service that is NOT in-progress or is NON-life threatening will begin with a phone call from a deputy. You may be asked to submit information to them via email, text, or picture message to assist with building a case. 9-1-1 is still online and we will still respond to life or death emergencies immediately.  If you need to speak to a deputy, please call 952-445-1411.
  • 9-1-1 DISPATCH CENTER:  Our 24/7 non-emergency phone line is 952-445-1411 if you need a question answered.  Call 9-1-1 if you have an emergency.  You can also call our general number with any non-emergency questions at 952-496-8300.
