Project Update:

July 2, 2021: Contractor is currently working on paint pavement symbols, cross hatching and pedestrian crosswalks.

Description:

This project will address the annual need to repaint county highway striping and pavement marking symbols (turn lane arrows, pedestrian crosswalk blocks, stop bars, etc.) throughout Scott County.

Purpose & Justification:

The retro reflectivity of county highway striping and pavement markings diminish over time due to the effects of traffic, weather and snowplow operations. Annual repainting is needed to maintain pavement marking visibility, especially at night and during wet weather.

Road Location:

County highways throughout Scott County will be restriped this summer. Work will be performed under traffic. Individual lanes will be temporarily coned off to traffic while symbol markings are placed. See map (PDF)
