WIC is a program that assists caregivers and children ages 0-5 years old. Caregivers receive both an eWIC card with funds to purchase specific food items, and regular counseling sessions that give parents and caregivers the support and goal-setting skills they need to help them learn to use those items to create healthy meals. By encouraging parents and caregivers, they gain the confidence to develop an enriching mealtime structure for their children.
Residents of Scott and Carver Counties, please fill out the screening form to find out if WIC is a good fit for you.
The WIC Peer Program is a way for past WIC moms to help current and expecting WIC moms with breastfeeding decision making and breastfeeding support.
This free service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by text, call or email. For more information, call the WIC office at (952) 818-3728.
