The Scott County Board of Commissioners has identified a project using the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to implement planned park improvements at the future Doyle-Kennefick Regional Park. The project consists of design and construction of a hiking trail network, associated amenities, and support infrastructure on county-owned land. The trails will be designed to support year-round walking/hiking/snowshoeing activities.
The use of ARPA funds allows the County to advance development at Doyle-Kennefick, resulting in a legacy project that will mark the opening of the park for public recreational use. The project will build upon the approved park master plan and offer a chance to provide a long-lasting impact of the funds that can be utilized by current residents and future generations.
Additional information will be provided as the project concept is developed and refined.
