Adult Kits, Games, & Resources
Go beyond books, music, and movies! We curate a variety of kits and unique collection materials to support teen and adult interests at the library. Make sure to have your library card and PIN ready to reserve items from these catalog links. For youth interest items, check out our Youth Kits, Games, & Resources page.
Binge Boxes
Get comfy and grab your popcorn - movie night just got more fun! These DVD sets contain 5-6 movies with a common theme, such as Music Biopics or Made in Minnesota. Perfect for film buffs and folks looking to expand their movie knowledge.
Book Club Kits
It's a book club in a bag! Each kit contains 10 copies of the book, discussion questions, and author information. You can check out up to three Book Club Kits for six weeks at a time, but they are not renewable. Please note there are fees if books are lost or damaged ($10 replacement fee for a lost single copy, $100 fee for replacing the entire kit).
Looking for a Book Club to join? Adult book clubs can be found on our Event Calendar. Call your library for more information on participating. We offer book clubs for children and teens during the summer as part of the Summer Reading Program.

More Ways to Enjoy Games

- Free Puzzle Exchange: Started at the Savage Library as a fun community-building activity, we now host free puzzle exchanges in most locations. If you have gently used puzzle to donate, you can bring it to any SCL location and exchange it for a fresh one. Don't have a puzzle to donate? No worries. You can still take one to enjoy, no library card required. Librarian Tip: Pair your puzzle with an audiobook from the eLibrary for a super relaxing experience.
Memory Care Kits
These special activity kits are designed for caregivers supporting loved ones with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
Seed Library (Belle Plaine Library)
The Seed Library at Belle Plaine Library offers free, open-pollinated seeds for growing. Anyone can come in, pick up free seeds, grow them, and return your gathered seeds from your grown plants back to the library for others to use. This initiative is a great way to share the love of gardening in our community.
- No library card required! Interested users can browse the seed library bins, select their desired seed packets (specially labeled envelopes packed with 5-15 seeds, depending on type of plant), and then “check out” using a simple sign-out sheet. Users can choose up to 10 packets per day.
