Pre-registration for the 2022 General Election ended on October 18, 2022

If you missed the deadline, you may still register at the polls: Minnesota allows voters to register on Election Day at your polling place. You simply need to provide proof of residence or have someone from your precinct vouch on your behalf. Please review this Fact Sheet and bring one proof of residence listed.

You can still vote early.

Vote early by mail. Fill out your ballot from the comfort of your home with an absentee ballot by mail. To do so, request an absentee ballot at mnvotes.gov.

Important election dates:

  1. October 18: General election deadline to pre-register to vote
  2. November 8: General Election Day (polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.)

Community Engagement

Scott County will be holding it's Public Accuracy Testing on Friday, October 28 at 9:30 AM in room GW170 at the Scott County Government Center. Please use the 5th Ave entrance and look for the signage -- GW170 is located on the first floor of Government Center West and is right off the atrium. 

Scott County will also be hosting Absentee Ballot Board on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 AM. Please join us in Room GW 166/167., located on the first floor of Government Center West (right off the atrium).
