Description
Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has scheduled construction activity starting Monday, July 31 on Highway 169 between Highway 19 in Blakeley Township and Highway 25 in Belle Plaine.
Crews are building J-turns, removing center median crossings, adding cable median barriers, and making drainage improvements. Construction of the J-turns will be done in sequence, beginning at the Blakeley Trail and 250th Street/Raven Road intersections.
Adding J-turns (Reduced Conflict Intersections) and removing center median crossings will help prevent high-risk movements and left turns onto Highway 169 from a local road or driveway. Center cable median barriers help prevent the most serious and fatal head-on crossover crashes.
