What is Early Childhood Screening?
Early Childhood Screening (ECS) is a simple, no-cost check on a child’s language, motor, problem solving skills, social/emotional development, hearing and vision, height and weight, immunization and health history review, and includes a parent summary meeting. The ECS does not diagnose. The ECS is highly encouraged between ages 3 and 4 and is mandatory for Minnesota public kindergarten.
