What We Do
Scott County Employment and Training is a division of Health and Human Services Department and a Dakota/Scott CareerForce partner. We help residents obtain employment and pursue career goals.
Using the Career Lab
The Career Lab is available to help residents access technology and resources to apply for positions. The Lab is open on weekdays from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. No appointments are necessary to use the Career Lab.

Dislocated Worker and Adult Programs
The Dislocated Worker Program offers free services to help eligible individuals that are 18 year of age and older find suitable reemployment. The Adult Program provides employment and training services to eligible adults 18 years of age and older.

Diversionary Work Program (DWP ES)
The Diversionary Work Program (DWP ES) is a short-term (up to 4 months) work-focused program which requires immediate participation with employment services.

Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP ES)
The Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP ES) is Minnesota's welfare reform program for families with children.

SNAP Employment and Training
The SNAP Employment & Training Program assists recipients to prepare for and become employed. Participants receive services from an employment services provider such as career counseling, skills and interest assessments, job search assistance, and other support services.

Senior Employment Services
The Senior Community Service Employment Program provides part-time community service jobs for people 55 years of age or older who meet income guidelines.

E&T Youth Programs
The Employment & Training Youth Program provides summer and year-round work experience and academic enrichment activities.
