The Reuse Room is located within the Scott County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility. It is a place where residents and businesses can drop in to look through thousands of household products, all of which are available FREE of charge! These are products, still in good usable condition, that have been dropped-off at the HHW Facility by residents who don’t need them anymore.

Reuse room policy limits visitors to one 20-minute visit per week. The limit is 10 items (maximum of 5 gallons of paint) per week. This policy is designed to ensure that our well-stocked shelves will contain the items that you and other visitors have been looking for.
You must be 18 years of age or older to shop in the Reuse Room. Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Among the most commonly found items in the Reuse Room are:
Automotive products (antifreeze and other fluids, oils and lubricants, waxes and cleaners, etc.)
Interior and exterior latex house paint (in a wide variety of colors)
Stain and varnish
Various lawn and garden products
Last year, Scott County gave away almost 100,000 pounds of good usable products to residents through our Reuse Room. Stop by our Reuse Room before you start your next home-improvement project. You never know what you might find for free!
