The Scott County Budget & Strategic Planning Office ensures the operations of Scott County are fiscally responsible and aligned to objectives outlined by the County Board. Some of our general responsibilities include:

  • Development and implementation of Strategic Plan
  • Countywide budgets and Strategic Plans
  • Countywide financial analysis
  • Countywide purchasing
  • County Annual Financial Report
  • State audit functions

Budget Analysis

  • Strategic Plan
  • Current financial trends as they relate to the Strategic Plan
  • Long-range cost of strategic development
  • Strategic and financial reporting

Purchasing

  • Procure goods, services, and equipment
  • Value and market analyses
  • Develop new sources of supplies
  • Obtain the best market prices through research, quotations, Requests for Proposals and competitive bidding process
  • Publicly advertise all solicitations and use the sealed bid/proposal process
  • Assist departments in planning, scheduling, and bidding purchases
  • Administration of the County procurement card program
  • Process County Purchase Orders for Capital Improvement Program Fund
