Sheriff’s Office invites neighborhoods to register for Night to Unite

Night to Unite will take place on Tuesday, August 2nd, with most neighborhood events being scheduled between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Night to Unite is an annual community-building event that promotes police-community partnerships.  Neighborhoods across the country will be participating in block parties, cookouts, and other activities to get to know one another to promote community safety.  Neighbors knowing neighbors is one of the most effective ways to prevent crime.

Sheriff Luke Hennen, K-9 Deputy Floyd, Patrol Deputies, 9-1-1 Dispatchers, Jail Correctional Officers, and Mounted Posse Reserve Deputies will all be making appearances around the county at various Night to Unite parties.

“Night to Unite gives us the opportunity to meet with our citizens and discuss ways we can help each other prevent crime in our neighborhoods,” said Sheriff Luke Hennen.  “The partnership between law enforcement and community is the key in continuing to make Scott County a great, safe place to live."

Residents and businesses in the 10 townships of Scott County and the city of Credit River can request Sheriff’s Office personnel to attend neighborhood parties by registering on our website:  https://www.scottcountymn.gov/1690/Night-to-Unite.  For other communities in Scott County (within city limits), please contact your local law enforcement agency.

If you would like Sheriff's Office personnel to attend your event, please submit the online form by July 19th.  If you have any questions, please contact Community Engagement Deputy Amy Lueck at 952-496-8862 or alueck@co.scott.mn.us.
