The kickoff to Savage’s summer celebration is on Thursday, June 23 at 7 PM at the McColl Pond ELC with the 10th annual craft beer, wine tasting and food event sponsored by the Savage Rotary. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Marketplace Liquor or from Savage Rotary members.

On Friday, June 24, head to Savage Community Park for Dinner in the Park and live music featuring Arena and Hairball. Gates open at 6 PM, show starts at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $15. No coolers are allowed.

Saturday features something for everyone. Whether you are a competitive runner or a running enthusiast, all ages and abilities are invited to participate in the Dan Patch 5KPace (9 AM) and 1-Mile Club Run (10 AM). Pre-register before June 15 to guarantee a t-shirt and save $5. Register at danpatchdays.org.

Activities throughout the day include the business expo, BINGO under the big tent, kiddie inflatables, plus music, food, and fireworks. New activities this year include a Princess Party, a BMX bike stunt demonstration, and a cookie eating contest. DJ Michael Grey will be playing your favorite hip-hop, R & B, and Top 40 hits from 1 PM – 5 PM. The Dan Patch Days Button Raffle will be between 6:45 PM and 7 PM. Buttons may be purchased at the Savage Library or City Hall. The evening ends at dusk, with a spectacular fireworks display synchronized to music.

On Sunday, June 26, before heading to the Grande Parade, stop by the Dakota Avenue Fire Station for the annual pancake breakfast from 7:30 AM – 12 noon. Then grab a spot along the parade route in downtown Savage to watch the 27th annual Grande Parade which begins at 1 PM.
