Upcoming Holiday Closures
It's that time of year! All Scott County Libraries will be closed on the following upcoming winter holidays:
- December 25 - Christmas
- January 1 - New Year's Day
- January 15 - Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- February 19 - Presidents Day
Get the Gift of Extended Access
Did you know there's a way to visit some Scott County Libraries on holidays and other closed periods? If you're a SCL cardholder aged 16 or older, you can add Extended Access to your library card. This exciting membership benefit lets you use your library card to unlock certain buildings between 6:00am - 10:00pm, every day.
Extended Access members can currently unlock the Jordan, Elko New Market, and New Prague Libraries. (And in case you were wondering... yes, Extended Access will be available in Belle Plaine, Savage, and Prior Lake down the road!) Visit our Extended Access page to learn more. To sign up, drop into any SCL branch and speak with staff. Be sure to bring your library card or photo ID. If you don't currently have a library card, we'll sign you up on the spot.
