Beginning March 4, Scott County Library will adjust and add hours across its seven locations to better serve residents’ needs. Highlights include increased weekend and evening availability, and more consistent operating times. Residents of Scott County can use any library location to receive services.
In addition to expanding staffed hours, the library continues to offer Extended Access, an opt-in self-service access program that increases the availability and access to Scott County Libraries. Over 1,000 cardholders aged 16 and older can access certain Scott County libraries from 6 AM to 10 PM every day. (The service is currently available at the Jordan, Elko New Market, and New Prague Libraries. Scott County expects to launch Extended Access service at the Belle Plaine, Savage, and Prior Lake Libraries later this year.)
