We Were Here Too

Join this presentation hosted by the Scott County Historical Society on
February 9, which will feature David Schleper, Senior Research Chair of theShakopee Heritage Society.  Schleper will
share the stories of ten African-Americans who lived and worked in 1800sShakopee, including a slave who escaped from Shakopee; an orderly in the Civil War;
and an African-American man who headed to Montana territory with Thomas A.Holmes
