On July 20^th, 2017 at approximately 10:39 p.m., a residential house fire occurred at a home in the 7000 block of 165^th St E in Credit River Township.

Initial investigation shows that the fire is believed to have started in the furnace room of the home.  No foul play is suspected and the exact cause of the fire is under investigation. 

All of the occupants were able to evacuate the home and none of the occupants sustained any injuries. The damage to the home was substantial.

The Prior Lake Fire Department requested assistance from Shakopee Fire Department, Shakopee Mdewakanton Fire Department, Savage Fire Department and New Market Fire Department.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office the State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
