[ARCHIVED] Sheriff's Office Greeting Card Design Contest

Greeting Card Design Contest

Scott County Sheriff’s Office’s ‘Season’s Greetings’ Card Design Contest

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is searching for creative kids to help design the artwork for its 2017 ‘Season’s Greetings’ Card. The winning entry will be used on the front of the Sheriff’s Office’s greeting cards which are mailed in December primarily to agency partners, sponsors and various officials.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

WHO:  Scott County residents/students ages twelve (12) and under may submit original artwork to the “2017 ‘Season’s Greetings’ Card Design Contest”.

WHAT:  Original artwork with a winter- themed picture incorporating the Scott County Sheriff’s Office in some way (i.e. snowmen, recreational safety, ice fishing, drinking hot cocoa, winter sports, snowflakes, penguins, mittens/hats, snowscapes, sledding, gingerbread cookies, ice skating, etc.).  Feel free to incorporate our Sheriff star and/or badge.

The design should portray positive police and community relationships.  We want children to understand that we are committed to their well-being, safety and security; our job is so much more than writing tickets and arresting people.

SPECIFICATIONS: Minimum size of 5”x7” up to a maximum size of 8.5”x11”.  Both horizontal and vertical formats will be accepted.

Artwork must be original, entirely the work of the entrant and not in violation of any copyrights.

WHEN: Entries may be submitted now and must be postmarked by DECEMBER 5th, if mailed.  Please attach the name of entrant, including age, full mailing address, contact phone number, and email address to the back of each entry.

Enter as often as you wish — the more the better.  All appropriate artwork submitted to the contest will be on display at the Sheriff’s Office throughout the months of December and January.
