[ARCHIVED] 2017 ‘Season’s Greetings’ Card Contest Winner

Seasons Greetings Winner (1)

Today, Scott County Sheriff Luke Hennen announced the winner of the first annual Sheriff's Office 'Season's Greetings' Card Design Contest.  "We were thrilled with the level of interest that this challenge inspired," Sheriff Hennen said.  "After receiving almost 400 submissions and going through a thorough review process with a panel of seven judges, I am pleased to award first place to Aubrie Sutherland of Prior Lake, age 9, of Five Hawks Elementary School."

Aubrie's winning submission will adorn the Scott County Sheriff's Office 2017 Season's Greetings Card.  Runners-up included Sofia Fritzke, age 10, Jordan Elementary (Jordan); and Kendra Oliphant, age 8, Jordan Elementary (Jordan).  Contestants were asked to submit original artwork with a winter-themed picture incorporating the Scott County Sheriff's Office in some way.

The winner, Aubrie Sutherland, will have her design featured on the front cover of the official Scott County Sheriff's Office 2017 Season's Greetings cards.  She will also receive a ride in a Sheriff's Patrol Car, breakfast or lunch with Sheriff Hennen, and 10 copies of the printed greeting card.  The winner and runners-up will all receive recognition on the Scott County Sheriff's Office social media pages, Scott County Sheriff's Office travel mugs, Certificates of Excellence, and a commemorative Sheriff's Office "Challenge Coin."

"This has been a wonderful experience for everyone involved, especially the judges and myself.  I can state unconditionally that we have some incredibly talented young artists in the Scott County community," Sheriff Hennen stated.  "I'm sure next year will be just as exciting!"
