Join us for free live music every Tuesday in March at Club Prior. These events are open to all ages and offer dance instruction with live music. Vibe is a partnership between the Scott County Library and the City of Prior Lake.
Tuesday, March 5 - Salsa del Soul
6:30-7 PM: Dance Instruction with Rene Thompson; 7-8:30 PM: Live music
We’re thrilled to welcome back the hugely popular Salsa del Soul to perform a variety of dance music styles from the Spanish-speaking regions of the Caribbean. Rene is back as well to demonstrate those great Latin dance moves on the gorgeous dance floor of Club Prior.
Tuesday, March 12 - Moonlight Serenaders
6:30-7 PM: Dance Instruction with Angela Hedlund of Demure Studios; 7 8:30 PM: Live music
The Moonlight Serenaders is a 14-piece, Glenn Miller style dance band. For over 30-years, the band has performed for many community functions, including concerts and theater productions, and particularly enjoys traditional ballroom dances while playing the tunes from the golden era of the big bands.
Tuesday, March 19 – Steam Heat
6:30-7 PM: Dance Instruction, Instructor TBA; 7-8:30 PM: Live music
Steam Heat is back! This 15-piece swing band plays popular hits of the swing era and more. The band features many local musicians and is complemented by the stunning vocals of Lynnda Nelson. Bring your dancing shoes or just sit back and enjoy the music!
Tuesday, March 26 – SwingBeat
6:30-7PM: Dance Instruction, Instructor TBA; 7-8:30 PM: Live music
SwingBeat is a Dance Band playing swing music mostly from the 30-40’s. They often can be found playing on Swing Night at the Wabasha Street Caves. They have been together since 1998 and are excited to join us at Vibe.
