Interested in archaeology in Scott County? Want to get involved?


Join archaeologist Jeremy Nienow at the Scott County Historical Society for an evening discussion about recent archaeological work the Metro Area Historical Society Collaboration has completed and find out how you can participate in upcoming projects here in Scott County. The talk will be followed by an opportunity for audience questions about the archaeology going on in your community.


The talk will take place on Thursday, September 5, at 6:30 PM at the Scott County Historical Society. 


Jeremy Nienow, Ph.D., RPA is a passionate cultural resource preservation consultant and educator. He is a registered professional archaeologist with over 25 years of experience throughout the Midwest, and has met the Secretary of Interior's standards for both prehistoric and historical archaeology for more than a decade. He is well known in the historical society and archaeological communities, serving in all aspects -- including board service, fieldwork, public speaking, and scholarly publication. He currently is the President of the Council for Minnesota Archaeology and Principal Investigator/Owner of Nienow Cultural Consultants LLC.
