[ARCHIVED] Scott County Government Update: COVID-19

In agreement and partnership with federal, state, and local health authorities, state and local governments across the country have shifted from COVID-19 awareness and containment into mitigation.  Essentially, this means that many non-essential gatherings, meetings, events, and activities have or will be suspended in the overriding interest of protecting public health and welfare.

As such, Scott County urges our residents, customers, and clients to consider delaying non-essential and/or non-time-sensitive visits to any County building.  We know that this is a significant inconvenience for many of our residents, and we’re actively researching viable remote or online options that could be used in place of in-person business transactions. We are taking these precautions out of an abundance of caution to minimize the risk of spreading illness among our guests or employees.  We will keep everyone up to date on any new developments that could help lessen this inconvenience.  Until then, please feel free to contact County Administration at (952) 496-8100 with any questions or concerns you may have about conducting County business, but be certain to contact the Minnesota Department of Health at (651) 201-3920 for information regarding the COVID-19 virus.
