Scott County will close all county buildings effective close of business today, March 17, to protect the safety of Scott County employees and residents. This closure will remain in effect until at least Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
This decision was not made lightly. Rest assured, Scott County staff will continue to provide all life-safety and emergency services, including 911. We will perform all services that can be performed through email, online, telephone, or other electronic means.
We urge the public to continue to report any concerns about life-safety, including concerns about the safety of children and vulnerable adults.
County staff are developing alternative ways to provide services and will update the public as new information becomes available.
Buildings closed to the public include:
- Government Center
- DMV licensing center
- Any in-person appointments: Social Services, Public Assistance, Walk-Up Services
- Law Enforcement Center
- All County Libraries
- CareerForce Center
- Central Shop
- Park Buildings (parks remain open)
