The Scott County HHW Facility is currently closed. We appreciate your patience as we hope to have the facility open as soon as possible.
Spring cleaning is a ritual in MN, and with the current stay-at-home order, many of us are starting early. Many local recycling, donation, and waste disposal locations have closed temporarily (such as Goodwill and the Scott County HHW), so there are fewer local places open to bring your waste.
If you are doing Spring cleaning at home, please remember the following:
- Do not leave your waste next a business that is temporarily closed, next to an overflowing donation box or dumpster, and please don’t throw your Hazardous Waste in the garbage.
- Dumping or improper disposal of waste, whether it’s in a ditch, or anywhere else is illegal
For more information on locations that may be open during this time please visit the Scott County Waste Navigator at https://gis.co.scott.mn.us/wastenav/
If you can’t find an open location to take your recycling, donations, or waste, please keep it at home until those sites open up again. For more information please contact the Scott County Environmental Department at 952-496-8177.
