Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous story of Treasure Island appeared in 1881 as a serialized novel in a weekly children’s magazine. Since then, the tale of young Jim Hawkins on an expedition to discover an island and find a buried pirate’s treasure has been retold countless times in film, television, radio, and theater, even video games. Using a treasure map, we’ll explore the story in The Landing’s 1880s village and uncover the elements that influenced the author. Cost is $10 and reservations are required by four days prior.
